Hersh: Journalists, do Something about Your Lies!

In a recent article published in The Guardian about the state of journalism, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh says, “The republic’s in trouble, we lie about everything, lying has become the staple.”  One example cited was the Navy Seal raid that supposedly resulted in the death of Osama Bin Laden. Hersh remarked, “Nothing’s been done about that story, it’s one big lie, not one word of it is true.”

Hersh, or anyone else with two ears, eyes, and a pair of connected synapses could fill pages with the lies made by the govt and their surrogates in the media. I have no reason to doubt the lie about Bin Laden’s killing. In fact, most of my research (including Dave Jarda’s interview with the father of one of the Seal Team 6 members) also says it was total bs, but that is not the issue. Choosing to use issues that the establishment has already built a tin foil hat for insures it will be nothing but a distraction. Besides, what rational person believes Obama’s “Commander and Chief” credentials were strengthened by the killing of Osama?! Not only has Al-Qaeda not been defeated, but our govt is arming these same global militant Islamist right now (i.e. Benghazi, Syria, etc.).

DEMAND Boom vs. COST Boom

“Everything that needs to be said has already been said. But since no one was listening, everything must be said again.”  – André Gide

The current Obamacare and debt ceiling debates are classic examples of the ignored wisdom of elders. Politicians cannot simply say NO to unpayable promises they hope will secure their jobs. When they inevitably can’t honor their debts they cannot help but hunt down other people’s money to pay their tab. I suppose it’s as H. L. Mencken said, “most people want security in this world, not liberty.”  It is this false sense of security that will cause people to give up all their essential liberty’s, and as Ben Franklin predicted, resulting in them getting neither liberty nor safety.

“Men prefer a false promise to a flat refusal…”  – Quintus Cicero

The desire for power and perks by politicians has not changed throughout history, and it is the basis for the stagflation that is currently putting Main Street through the grinder. There are very few people who truly know what they’re talking about, and do not bow to the establishment or contort the truth for ulterior motives. Martin Armstrong is one of the unique few, and he recently offered his experienced-based insight when answering a question about inflation versus deflation.

The Solution to ALL Our Monetary Problems

In the Surreal States of America, where most the people believe wealth and prosperity are created out of thin air, why doesn’t the Treasury simply issue a Trillion Dollar bond that the Fed can buy with its infinite amount of digital money? One ObamaBond could be issued each year to pay for one year of Obamacare. As the interest comes due, the Treasury can simply pay it with ObamaInterest. Fortunately, there is very little.

Debt & The Biggest Wealth Transfer in History

Stanley Druckenmiller appeared on CNBC this week. The meat of his comments start at the 12:35 mark. Although, his entire segment, which begins at the 8:03 mark, is good – especially when he rhetorically asks, “who owns assets”, and at the 15:00 mark when he explains what the Feds policies are all about: “the biggest redistribution of wealth from the middle class and the poor to the rich ever”.

Jimmy Dunne’s comments at the very end are also priceless: Referring to what the Fed is doing, “it’s  bad for my children, his children, and the guys that caddy for Stan and me“….”I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t do it [start tapering], just start it. The hangover’s going to be worse from this…but, it’s good for us (the wealthy)”.  All one needs to understand is record amounts of debt continue to be created, and who benefits from the issuance? A few simple charts will paint a clear picture…

No Taper – What a non-Surprise

As was stated here in a August 16th post, there is no way the Fed can taper. Specifically, it was said:

Manipulators want you to believe the Fed will taper, which would reduce the demand for bonds and therefore drive yields up. The only problem with this story is the Fed can never stop buying bonds with printed money at this juncture without instantly detonating the economy, due to the inability of govt’s and corp’s to roll their debt.

It will be fun watching the talking heads backtrack from their statements about how the Fed would taper because the economy was so great, and it could withstand higher rates. How bad must things be if the Fed can’t even back off $10-15 billion from their $85 billion per month in bond purchases? This should make it abundantly clear that we are royally screwed. The Fed will print until everything collapses. The big question is why do the people who got us into this mess still have jobs, and why aren’t people in the streets?

What Does the Exit of Larry Summers Mean?

The fact Summers was being pushed by Obama and the mainsteam press tells you much more about them than Summers. We already knew Summers was a Pritzker Rubinite that fought for the two biggest bankster policy frauds that gave us the financial crisis and continues to be the major hindrance of economic growth. Greg Palast provides some of the details and elaborates in his piece titled, “Larry Summers: Goldman Sacked”.

Here is Max Keiser’s video interview with Greg Palast discussing the “end game” memo that decriminalized the sale of derivatives across the globe. The instruments of societal destruction may have become more complicated, but the passions of man never change, which is why the “credibility trap” and “control fraud” are causing history to repeat.

Putin’s NYT Op-ed, and Armstrong’s Analysis

Presented without further comment. Warning: Armstrong’s analysis contains links to horrific videos of Syrian rebels, which I have intentionally omitted (unlike Obama / media who are desperately trying to sell another war).

While Putin does donuts on the White House lawn, our politicians are complaining that Putin’s words make them sick, without specifying which words.

Leverett Will Never Again be Seen on Mainstream TV

The fact that Obama and the mainstream media still state “beliefs” as unequivocal facts is why both have no credibility. It’s clear that the “herd mentality” propaganda tactic is still alive and well in the USA.

obama nose

If the facts were so clear that Assad used chemical weapons against his own people, then why isn’t the international community and Congress convinced? As Ms. Leverett said, “The rest of the world does not believe what we’re saying for good reason. We made it up last time”. Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me.

Checkmate: Putin’s Mercy Move & NSA Bugging World

Tonight, Obama could put the finishing touches on the transformation of US perception around the world from being the “shining city on the hill” to the modern-day Evil Empire (assuming the NSA has not already done it). If you look at the US from the outside, what do you see?

– The NSA is bugging the world, and Congress voted down an amendment to restrain them. The latest incidents involve the NSA hacking into the SWFT system, which processes international financial transactions; and spying on Petrobras  (Brazil’s largest oil company), which is corporate espionage. For anyone that doesn’t live in Disneyland, this is proof that NSA spying is about money to feed govt, not terrorism.

– The US Justice Department has not prosecuted a single Bankster for fraudulently selling worthless MBS’s and other derivatives across the globe, causing a recession that the world has still not recovered from five years later.

–  And who could forget the blatant lies regarding WMDs in Iraq, which has tossed trillions of needed dollars out the window and caused untold human suffering.

Now we have Syria, where Obama wants to kill Syrians to show Syrians that killing Syrians is wrong. Obama must have been channeling Luther Ingram while developing his strategy – “If bombing you is wrong, I don’t wanna be right”.

Government Self-Interest is Destroying the World

“I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.” –Albert Einstein

Peggy Noonan made some very good points in yesterday’s WSJ article, but I think she intentionally ignores the most important points. It’s not only Americans saying no on Syria. It’s the world saying no to government self-interest. Allow me to explain.  First, she ignores the same thing the others have conveniently ignored, even those opposed to military intervention in Syria – where is the proof that Assad used the chemical weapons? More graphic pictures only prove that chemical weapons were used, not who used them. Even the President’s Chief of Staff, Denis McDonough, who was making sales calls on all the Sunday shows, could not directly answer the question of how he knows that Assad is responsible. All he could say is that he is convinced in “his mind”. This response does demonstrate why there is a disconnect between Washington and American citizens. We don’t trust what’s in the mind of sociopaths, whether they are in the Middle East, mainstream media, or DC.
